During the last 12 months, my client has expanded the subsidiary arm of the business specialising in bespoke industrial alarm management systems for both the UK and international markets.

As part of continued business growth, my client has immediate requirements for a Quality Assurance Engineer to focus on both manual and automation test cases including AI automation working predominantly in .NET / Python development environment.

This role is pivotal to ensuring both reliability and usability of my clients bespoke software products, delivering on QA practices and process whilst improving test coverage and releases within SDLC.

Working within a small development and testing team, you will have a self-driven and methodical mindset, working closely with the developers and product management.

Summary of skills and experience:

* Development of test cases and test plans suitable for both automation and manual testing

* Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases covering functional, regression, performance, and edge-case scenarios

* Maintain accurate test documentation, test cases, and test results within DevOps tools

* Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools

* Execute automated test suites as part of release validation and regression testing

* Contribute to the integration of automated tests within CI/CD workflows

* Ensure software releases meet functional, performance, and usability expectations before customer delivery

* Identify defects early and provide clear, actionable feedback to development teams

* Expand and maintain automated test coverage to reduce manual effort and regression risk

* Test product releases to identify defects and validate behaviour against user requirements

* Perform comprehensive regression testing following bug fixes and new feature development

* Validate defect fixes and confirm issues are fully resolved before release

* Investigate non-conforming software behaviour and assist developers in identifying root causes

* Estimate, prioritise, and coordinate testing activities across sprint and release cycles
