How you’ll spend your day

As a Lead Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the technical direction of projects while remaining hands-on in delivery.

You’ll be responsible for:

* Leading the design and development of high-quality software solutions using C# and .NET

* Translating high-level architecture into scalable, practical implementations across APIs, services, and data layers

* Driving best practices across coding standards, testing, and development processes

* Designing and optimising solutions across Azure services, including databases and messaging platforms

* Leading containerisation and deployment using Kubernetes, alongside CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps

* Implementing observability and monitoring using tools such as DataDog

* Acting as a technical leader and mentor, supporting and developing other engineers

* Collaborating closely with Product, Architecture, and Delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes

* Identifying and addressing technical debt, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

* Supporting estimation, planning, and risk management across projects

What you’ll bring to this role

We’re looking for a technically strong Lead Developer who combines hands-on expertise with leadership capability.

You’ll bring:

* Strong commercial experience as a Senior or Lead Developer working with C# and .NET

* Proven experience building and deploying solutions within Azure cloud environments

* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised applications

* Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)

* Knowledge of cloud-based data and messaging technologies

* Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g. DataDog)

You’ll also demonstrate:

* The ability to lead by example, setting standards through high-quality code

* Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams

* A passion for clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement

* Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other engineers
