Java Technical Lead Contract

Galway

Long Term Contracting Role

You’ll join a new team that are building secure, scalable, high-performance applications in the emerging space of digital ownership.

We’re looking for a Java Tech Lead who can combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, someone who can guide the team, set direction, and still roll up their sleeves when needed.

What you’ll do:

Own the technical delivery of enterprise-scale applications.

Provide leadership across an Agile team, coaching engineers and raising the bar on quality.

Shape system design and architecture, balancing innovation with reliability.

Experiment with and introduce cutting-edge tech such as Blockchain and AI-driven solutions.

What you bring:

Seasoned experience in Java development, with proven leadership responsibility.

Strong background in microservices, Spring Boot, cloud platforms (AWS a plus), and CI/CD practices.

A track record of designing solutions that scale securely.

Agile mindset, strong communicator, and passion for driving technical excellence.

The offer:

Initial 12-month daily rate contract, with extensions likely.
