Java Developer - £55,000 - £60,00 - Remote Working

We are looking for a number of Java Developers to work for a Digital consultancy across several of their key clients. You will be joining a dynamic team and contributing to the development of cutting edge applications.

The ideal candidate would have worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.

You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable software solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality code primarily using Java andSpring Boot.
  • Designing and implementing cloud-native applications onAWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • Contributing to the front-end development usingJavaScript.
  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver new features.
  • Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience as aJava Developer.
  • You will have ideally worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.
  • Strong working knowledge of theSpring Boot framework.
  • Hands-on experience withAWS (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
  • Familiarity withJavaScript for front-end development.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience withPython is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
