We are seeking an experienced Java Developer Contractor to help us design, build, and maintain high-quality enterprise applications. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to translate complex business requirements into reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions.

What You Will Do

Develop & Innovate: Design, build, test, and maintain robust Java-based applications, backend services, and RESTful APIs.

Collaborate: Work closely with Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Write Clean Code: Translate technical requirements into efficient, maintainable code using Spring Boot and microservices architectures.

Ensure Quality: Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, defect resolution, and production troubleshooting to ensure application stability.

Drive Delivery: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and support CI/CD pipelines.

What You Bring (Essential Skills)

Core Experience: Proven track record as a Java Developer, Backend Engineer, or Full Stack Developer with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills.

Frameworks & Architecture: Deep hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, and Microservices.

Database Mastery: Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).

Version Control & Build Tools: Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, Maven, or Gradle.

Delivery Practices: Experience working in Agile environments and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).

Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Languages/Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC

Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs

Databases: SQL

Tools: Git / Bitbucket, Maven / Gradle, Jenkins (or similar CI/CD)

IDEs & Management: IntelliJ, Eclipse, or VS Code; Jira and Confluence

Bonus Points (Desirable Experience)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Kibana, Splunk, or CloudWatch).

Background in large-scale enterprise application development or client-facing consulting.

Familiarity with secure coding standards and application performance optimization.
