Role Purpose

Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, and working with a wide range of technologies?

We're looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer to join our growing IT team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technical issues, work with modern cloud technologies, and play a key role in delivering a reliable, high-quality IT service across a busy organisation.

You'll be far more than a helpdesk technician. As a trusted technical specialist, you'll support colleagues onsite and remotely, tackle complex challenges, contribute to infrastructure improvements, and help shape the future of our IT services.

If you're passionate about technology, thrive in a hands-on environment, and enjoy making a genuine difference through excellent support, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Providing 2nd line technical support for a wide range of IT systems and users
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software, network, and cloud-related issues
  • Supporting Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Google Workspace, and business-critical applications
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and device deployments
  • Supporting laptops, mobile devices, printers, telephony, and network infrastructure
  • Using Microsoft Intune and/or Jamf to manage and maintain devices
  • Identifying trends, investigating recurring issues, and driving service improvements
  • Contributing to IT projects, technology rollouts, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Acting as an escalation point and technical expert within the support team

What you will bring

You'll be a proactive IT professional who enjoys solving problems and delivering an excellent customer experience.

  • Experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Windows environments
  • Experience supporting cloud services, hardware, software, and end-user devices
  • Good understanding of networking technologies, including LAN/WAN and Cisco Meraki
  • Experience with device management platforms such as Intune or Jamf
  • Knowledge of IT security and cyber security best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach
