Infrastructure & Security Manager

37.5 hours a week (Monday- Friday)

£56k-£60k per annum

The Camping and Caravanning Club is the world's oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping and our aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring.

We are recruiting for an Infrastructure & Security Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reliable, secure and resilient operation of the Club ‘s technology platforms and infrastructure. The role leads the infrastructure and platform engineering capability within Technology Operations, ensuring that cloud services, networks, identity, and security controls operate effectively to support day?to?day business operations and absorb change safely. As part of the wider Technology Operations management team, the role balances operational stability, security risk, and performance, ensuring technology platforms are fit for purpose today and capable of supporting future needs

Daily duties and responsibilities will include:

Lead the day?to?day operation of the Club’s infrastructure and cloud environments.

Ensure platforms are stable, performant, scalable, and cost?effective.

Own monitoring, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities.

Ensure infrastructure and platform services meet agreed availability and resilience targets.

Lead operational security activities.

Lead and develop infrastructure and platform engineers.

Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure appropriate skills coverage and resilience within the team.

Support performance management, development planning, coaching and mentoring.

Work closely with the wider Technology team and Technology Management team.

Act as a trusted operational and security advisor to colleagues across the business and support to instil best practices.

Identify, track and manage infrastructure and security risks.

Provide detailed procedural and systems documentation when required.

Work alongside the Head of Technology Operations to identify, plan, cost and effectively manage future developments and upgrades of the Club’s infrastructure.

We are looking for the following in applications:

Degree in an IT related field, (to include Infrastructure & Security).

Microsoft Certified Professional.

Extensive experience in an IT Management role.

Substantial experience of working in a fast paced, multi-site IT environment.

Recent experience of managing, supporting and mentoring a team of technical IT staff.

Experience in managing/facilitating an operational disaster recovery/business continuity solution.

Strong LAN,WAN,SD-WAN,WLAN experience across a multi-site environment.

Experience with OnPrem>Public Cloud Migration (Azure)

Strong experience of managing multiple complex tasks with competing priorities.

Strong influencing and negotiating skills.

Strategic and logical thinker and problem solver.

Collaborative, confident and credible, able to engender trust in others.

High level of commercial acumen.

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Ability to project manage business critical technical projects from inception to delivery.

A strong understanding of NetApp storage system, Firewalls, Citrix thin client technology, Cisco and UCS compute.

Confident to present clear and concise presentations to key decision makers within the Club.

Methodical and self-motivated.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
