Hays are now looking for a DevOps Engineer for one of our local clients:

Flexible Rate - Inside IR35
2 Days a week in Salisbury, the rest is WFH
6 Month Contract
Must be currently SC Cleared
OverviewWe are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to support and enhance our clients containerised environments, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling. You will work closely with vendors, own Kubernetes operations, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and associated Azure services.

What You'll Be Doing

Collaborating with vendors on container image development, optimisation and maintenance
Managing, supporting and improving Kubernetes environments
Building and maintaining Azure DevOps IaC pipelines
Supporting and operating cloud infrastructure across Azure services, including related tooling
Implementing and maintaining Helm charts, deployment manifests and Git‑based workflows
Ensuring secure and efficient use of registries (ACR/ECR), secrets, storage and ingress
Supporting messaging and streaming components such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
Managing cloud networking elements including Azure Application Gateway, CDN and SSO integrations
What We're Looking For

Strong experience with Kubernetes (high priority)
Azure DevOps (Infrastructure as Code)
Mongo DB (must have)
GitLab (sources, pipelines, repo management)
Container registry experience (ACR / ECR)
Bash scripting
Helm chart authoring/management
ArgoCD
Azure security & platform components: Key Vault, Blob Storage, CDN, Enterprise Apps / SSO
Messaging & streaming: RabbitMQ, Kafka
Experience with Azure Application Gateway
