This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation that is investing heavily in data, analytics and AI. With ambitious plans to further develop its data-driven capabilities, the business is looking for a Data Scientist to play a key role in delivering advanced analytics, machine learning and AI solutions across a range of operational and commercial functions.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and the wider data team, you will be responsible for developing predictive models, uncovering actionable insights and helping the business leverage data to improve decision-making. You will have the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, large and varied datasets, and emerging AI tools to solve genuine business challenges.

This is a highly visible role that combines technical data science expertise with stakeholder engagement, offering the chance to influence strategy, improve business performance and help shape the future direction of data and AI within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machine learning models that deliver measurable business value.
• Build predictive analytics and forecasting solutions to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Develop scalable analytical solutions that support reporting, insight generation and future AI initiatives.
• Explore and implement AI-driven use cases, including automation and intelligent decision-support tools.
• Monitor, evaluate and enhance model performance to ensure ongoing accuracy and effectiveness.
• Support best practices across data science, model governance and solution delivery.
• Identify new opportunities to utilise data and AI to drive efficiencies and business growth.

Skills & Experience

• Commercial experience in a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer or Advanced Analytics role.
• Strong Python skills for data analysis, machine learning and statistical modelling.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models within production environments.
• Knowledge of predictive modelling, forecasting, classification or optimisation techniques.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
