£55,000 - £70,000 per annum + 15% Bonus
Leeds (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

About the Role

Hays' Cyber practice have partnered with a reputable Yorkshire-based organisation on the search for a Cloud Security SME. This role will see you involved in both hands-on and strategic works, allowing you to configure and help integrate cloud security best practice into the overall cyber strategy, with the oversight of the head of cyber.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the development of an enterprise-scale cloud security strategy and owning the journey
Working alongside cloud infrastructure colleagues and implementing security best practices
Utilising cloud security tools and implementing cloud security policies and procedures
Utilising and tweaking SecOps tools to provide accurate alerts and reporting on events pertaining to cloud security posture
Acting as a cloud security SME within the organisation
Developing KPIs and monitoring capabilities to assess the effectiveness of current-state cloud security policies, and work to improve on these outputs throughout the continual delivery of the strategy.
Ensuring that the policies and procedures you create are well documented and repeatable
Working with internal and external SecOps teams on cloud security incident response plans
What We're Looking For

Strategic or hands-on (config/engineering) security experience in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Experience adhering to cloud security best practice frameworks
Experience utilising cloud-native security tools
Demonstrable experience of mature cyber security practices - creating repeatable, well-documented cloud security processes and plans
Stakeholder engagement ability
Experience instrumentally maturing cloud security environments
Whilst having owned the cloud security parts of a cyber security strategy would be ideal, tangible experience making suggestions into cyber security strategies and the ability to articulate this would be suitable on top of a demonstrable technical cloud security foundation.
