Azure Digital Workplace Engineer

Location: On‑site in London, Gloucestershire or Manchester
Contract: 12 Months

About the Role

Guidant Global is supporting our client in hiring an experienced Azure End User Compute (EUC) Engineer to join their Remote Compute engineering squad. You will help design, innovate, support, and transform the organisation's remote desktop, cloud and SaaS services.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong Azure VDI, Intune, and scripting experience, combined with a collaborative mindset and a passion for service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage secure Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
Maintain Azure services that support the wider EUC ecosystem
Respond to 2nd and 3rd line incidents and service requests
Evaluate new features, enhancements and security improvements
Work closely with other teams across the cloud ecosystem
Maintain accurate technical documentation
Support colleagues with diagnostics and complex issue resolution
Contribute to continuous service improvement, retrospectives, and knowledge‑sharing activities

Required Experience

Experience working as an Azure End User Compute specialist
Fulfilment of key skills criteria and relevant industry‑standard qualifications

Essential Skills

Hands‑on experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments (multi‑session, personal desktops, RemoteApp host pools)
Strong expertise with Intune MDM for AVD and Cloud PC management
Strong Azure cloud knowledge including Entra, networking, Azure Firewall, DNS
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps
Cloud infrastructure deployment using IaC, ideally Terraform
Strong scripting skills, particularly PowerShell
Monitoring, diagnostics and troubleshooting capability
Ability to develop/maintain AVD documentation and best‑practice procedures

Desirable Skills

Experience with Cloud PC technologies (Windows 365 / Dev Box)
Nerdio for AVD
Application deployment and package management experience
