An Android Developer is required for long-term contracting role working on large-scale enterprise application development.  This role is with a leading & industry recognise technology company in Dublin. The company operate an extremely flexible working model and are happy for contractors to work remotely in Ireland.

You’ll help build high-performance consumer and business-facing applications operating at significant scale and throughput. The team is embarking on a major, long-term programme of work on a core Android platform that is tightly integrated with a wider suite of enterprise systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Android Developer to play a key role in a large-scale, high-impact project while working with modern tools and best practices.

Desired Skills / Experience

Strong Android development experience with a proven ability to deliver robust enterprise-grade applications, provide technical input, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Excellent proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.

Hands-on experience with MVVM architecture and Android Architecture Components (including ViewModel, LiveData, etc).

Experience building modern UIs using Jetpack Compose.

Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt.

Strong experience with networking libraries such as OkHttp and Retrofit.

Experience with asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines.

Exposure to Firebase services for analytics, messaging, or backend integration.

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure CI.

Comfortable acting as an SME, advising on best practices across development, testing, and deployment.

Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments is an advantage.
