Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for Waste Operatives to work for our client South Gloucestershire Council at their offices in Broad Lane, Yate.

The main role a site operative would perform on site is-

Assisting members of the public by guiding them to the correct disposal points with their waste
Maintaining an efficient and safe flow of traffic through the HWRC
Keeping up to date and accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
Assisting the Supervisor and Team Leader in controlling the exchange of containers, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
Maintaining a tidy site within areas of responsibility and stopping an overspill of material from sites.
Ensuring SGC complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her/their actions or omissions.
Co-operating with SGC and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SGC Policies and Procedures. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience:

Front facing customer focused experience, in a waste related role.
Outdoor working in all weathers
Calm potential conflict or disagreements in a professional manner and advise visitors to site on the rules and help promote recycling.
