Firmin Recruit are an agency working on behalf of our established manufacturing client based in Sittingbourne. My client has been established for many years and manufactures parts for the leisure Industry. My client has offices worldwide and they export their products to over 40 countries. Due to business demands my client is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse/Forklift Operative to join their existing team.

Role: Warehouse/Forklift Operative

Hours: 8:00 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday

8:00 - 15.30 Friday

Benefits: Parking, Pension, 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Private Pension ( after probation) and uniform provided.

The Role:

  • Receiving deliveries of goods and suppliers

  • Checking for damaged goods or missing items

  • Safe storing of goods

  • Moving stock by hand, using lifting gear or a forklift

  • loading goods into lorries and containers

  • Packing and wrapping of orders

  • Maintaining accurate stock and despatch records

  • Forklift and general warehouse duties

    Suitable Candidate:

  • The suitable candidate will need a minimum three years previous warehouse and forklift experience with preference for someone who has worked in their company for some time

  • Current Counterbalance or Reach Forklift License (In house license accepted)

  • Previous picking, packing, loading, and off-loading experience required

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience booking stock in/out of the warehouse using computer system.

  • Good computer skills are required

  • Due to the location of my client the successful candidate will need to drive and have access to your own car.
