Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Counter Balance Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations while maintaining a safe working environment.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 06:00 - 15:30 or 13:30 -23:00

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts to transport materials and products within the warehouse.

  • Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.

  • Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols.

  • Maintain an organised warehouse environment by ensuring that all materials are stored correctly.

  • Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.

  • Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Counter Balance Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment.

  • Familiarity with materials handling procedures and safety regulations.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.

  • Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory management.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • A valid counter balance forklift operating licence is preferred but not essential; training may be provided for the right candidate.
