About us:
Veetee is a global ambient foods and rice company, a major supplier to retailers, wholesalers, and other food manufacturing businesses. We have two factories and three warehouses in Rochester, Kent, one manufacturing site and corporate office in India, and a Sales & Distribution team in the USA.
Job Purpose:
As a Warehouse Operative you will work as part of the busy warehouse team, working closely with other Veetee Operational teams in the factory, such as Production, Engineering, QA and Hygiene.
Responsibilities:

  • Goods in unloading and racking away
  • Loading/unloading lorries, containers and Eco chambers
  • Moving stock as required
  • Putting away pallets from production into racking
  • Picking materials and ingredients for production work
  • Pick/send & receive/put away stock transfers
  • Use handheld device to ensure stock movement is accurately recorded
  • Replenish stock in the web sales room
  • Carry out physical stock checks
  • Wrapping/restacking pallets as required
  • Erect empty boxes ready for the Customer Services team to pack online orders
  • Tidying the warehouse
  • Assisting other departments/sites when required and cover for other team members, including paperwork, delivery notes, and GRN
  • Assist with unloading hand ball containers when required (bag weight 25kg)
    Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Counterbalance and High Reach Forklift Truck licenses with substantial current and previous experience are essential.
  • Experience within a fast-paced warehouse environment that handles palletised goods is highly desirable.
  • Experience and understanding of IT stock control systems, basic to intermediate level computer skills.
  • Team player.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
