Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our operations team, primarily supporting the CoolMed division of the business. This role is critical in ensuring that our medical refrigeration units are handled with care, undergo thorough quality checks, and are dispatched efficiently and accurately to our customers.
Receiving Deliveries: Unload incoming containers and shipments efficiently and safely, ensuring all stock is handled appropriately.
Product Quality Testing: Unbox products and carry out defined quality testing procedures to verify that units meet our quality standards.
Product Repackaging: Re-box tested units with care to prepare them for dispatch, ensuring they are secure and properly labelled.
Dispatch Support: Assist in the dispatch process by printing and applying shipping labels, organising outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
Returns Handling: Support the customer returns process, including checking returned items, documenting condition, and coordinating next steps with the customer service team.
Warehouse Organisation: Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety procedures.
Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with team members across the warehouse and other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

  • Basic computer skills for label printing and stock tracking.

    Salary & Benefits
  • £25,000 per annum (Hourly rate: £12.82)
  • Overtime available during peak periods
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • Additional one day of annual leave per year of service, up to 28 days

    Working Pattern
    This role follows a Panama shift pattern, also known as a 2-2-3 shift. You will work on a rotating schedule that typically includes: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, followed by the reverse the following week (i.e., 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off).
    This pattern means you will work every other weekend and benefit from regular days off during the week. Shifts are 10 hours long, from 8am to 6pm, with a 30 minute break for lunch. The pattern ensures a good balance between work and rest days over a two-week cycle.
