Test Automation Specialist Engineer- upto £65,000- Burgess Hill, UK (Hybrid)

A large scale international banking/ finance client in Burgess Hill, UK is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated tests to ensure the quality, security, and reliability of our mission-critical banking applications.

They offer a great career opportunity to work on interesting projects in a large IT function - giving you the chance to move into more senior positions in the future.

As the successful candidate you must have:

Overall Experience: 5 years in software testing with a 3-year focus on building scalable automation solutions.
UI & Mobile Automation: Expertise in modern frameworks including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, and Appium.
Core Programming Skills: Strong command of Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript for creating reliable and maintainable test scripts.
API & Services Testing: Proficient in validating APIs using tools like Rest Assured and Postman.
DevOps Integration: Experienced in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Emerging Technology: Over 6 months of practical experience applying GenAI tools to enhance quality assurance processes.
Methodology: Thorough understanding and practical application of Agile and Scrum principles.
