Technical Architect – SC Cleared

Rate: £400 Outside IR35
Location: Birmingham (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Clearance: Active SC clearance required

Khuda Technology are hiring a Technical Architect on behalf of a leading client. The organisation is moving to a multi-cloud operating model, with AWS as the future growth platform alongside Azure. This role will lead the adoption of AWS, while leveraging existing Azure expertise, to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.

The Role

  • Lead AWS Landing Zone and foundational service design using Control Tower and SCPs.

  • Drive multi-cloud strategy ensuring governance, automation, and consistency across AWS and Azure.

  • Author HLD/LLD documentation and set technical standards.

  • Implement security and compliance with AWS GuardDuty, Config, Inspector, Macie, Security Hub.

  • Champion Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform (mandatory) and support with ARM, Bicep, AWS CDK.

  • Design CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, and Azure DevOps.

  • Provide technical leadership, migration support, and mentoring across multi-cloud teams.

    Key Skills & Experience

  • 8–10 years’ experience designing and delivering cloud architectures.

  • High proficiency in AWS, strong knowledge of Azure.

  • Proven expertise in:

    • Core services (VPC/vNET, IAM/RBAC, Subscriptions, Policies).

    • Hub-Spoke architectures, VPNs, peering, load balancers.

    • Security, compliance, and governance across AWS/Azure.

    • Backup solutions and secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).

    • IaaS & PaaS for Compute, Storage, Databases, Networking, and Analytics.

    • Serverless (Lambda, Functions), containers (EKS, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker).

    • Familiarity with TOGAF and cloud compliance frameworks.
