Job Title: Tech Business Analyst

Location: Windsor, UK (Hybrid – 1 day in the office)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Business Analyst to join our team, where you will play a critical role in defining and prioritising business and technical requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and has a passion for delivering solutions that drive business outcomes.

In this role, you will become a proficient user of Azure DevOps (ADO), manage your squad’s backlog, create, refine and elaborate features and stories, ensuring they are developer-ready. You’ll collaborate closely with Solution Architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders to solve complex business problems, support automated system designs, and drive technical change in our cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Define and manage your squad’s backlog using Azure DevOps (ADO) to create and refine features and stories.

*

Work with technical teams and solution architects to deliver clear and prioritised requirements.

*

Identify gaps in systems and processes, providing technical expertise in business requirements and functional specifications.

*

Support the design of automated systems and provide consultation to users on system functionalities.

*

Lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.

*

Regularly update epics, features, and stories in ADO and participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.).

*

Utilize best practice business analysis techniques including feature decomposition, context diagrams, mock-ups, and MVP (Most Valuable Product) approaches.

*

Balance the need for new requirements with available out-of-the-box SaaS solutions.

Key Qualifications:

*

8+ years of Business Analyst experience, with significant exposure to UK Smart Meter projects.

*

Proven experience in technical business analysis, including managing and prioritising platform-level technical backlogs.

*

Strong collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working across diverse teams and stakeholders.

*

Experience in Agile delivery, and familiarity with cloud-native enterprise systems (preferably CRM and Billing platforms).

*

Exposure to AWS core infrastructure and Salesforce. Knowledge of MuleSoft or other integration platforms is a plus.

*

Strong understanding of the Utilities domain is highly desirable.

Desirable Skills:

*

Demonstrable experience in software development, enterprise system implementation, and technical change.

*

Confidence, optimism, and a relentless drive to deliver the best outcomes for the customer and business.
