Make the decisions that will dictate the evolution and direction of our infrastructure, systems, and operational technology.

You will be forward thinking, you will own the budget, so will bring your commercial acumen to balance cost control with ensuring our solutions are fit for purpose as we continue to scale.

Note: this would be a hybrid role, you would need to be comfortable commuting into our Head Office in Abingdon, Oxon circa 2 days per week.

As expected, we have a mix of on-prem, virtualisation and cloud solutions. We would be looking for experience of VMware, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes / Containerisation. With our infrastructure and systems supporting both our employees as well as our 150, 000 and growing customer base.

You will be our technical expert, so although not day to day operational you will be familiar with and understand the technology to support your highly skilled engineering team and your decision making.

You will have the opportunity to innovate and bring ideas, as well as work with a diverse range of technologies including but not limited to:

Linux, VMware, AWS, Containers, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Cybersecurity, Monitoring Systems Icinga2 & Elastic Stack, Core Internet Application Protocols – DHCP / DNS, Scripting, Application and Network Security best practices – SSH / Iptables / TLS

Previous experience and alignment to Gigaclear’s approach to leading, managing, supporting, training, mentoring, and developing your team is key.
