Stock Controller – Purchasing Coordinator – Expeditor - South Derby
£35,000 - £40,000 basic + Bonus PLUS brilliant benefits AND career growth!

This role will develop as the business expands, offering the opportunity for career progression. Now market leaders this business currently has a team of around 30! Also, recently expanded premises to accommodate exponential growth and exciting plans for new locations in the UK! This will enhance their place in the market and help the business expand even further!!! Get involved with growth!

The Role:

  • This role is all about coordinating with suppliers, both in the UK and China
  • Working closely with the team in China to coordinate delivery times and loads
  • Managing stock availability for the business to make sure they can handle workload and orders
  • Overseeing containers coming into the business – currently they have 1 per day coming from China which you will manage.
  • Working closely with the sales team to forecast orders and to help plan future orders
  • Liaising with the purchasing team in Ireland on a regular basis
  • Keeping all systems up to date to make sure stock levels, orders and details are accurate
  • Proactive approach to managing stock levels within the business
  • Drive purchasing coordination and expediting processes for a growing business
  • Looking to make improvements to make the expediting process as efficient and streamlined as possible
    We’re Looking For:
  • Expediting experience—a couple of years in a similar role preferred
  • CIPS qualification is a bonus, but not essential
  • Strong ability to think on your feet, streamline processes, and manage supplier relationships
  • Brilliant attention to detail and accuracy
  • Someone who is a strong communicator, who can build relationships with lots of different teams within the business
  • Proactive and adaptable—this is a developing role with long-term career potential

  • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays + additional days over Christmas
  • Training and funding provided for relevant qualifications
  • Hours – 8am – 5pm – Monday – Thursday and 8am – 2.30pm on a Friday
