Are you a skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the realm of DevOps, Agile methodologies, and Cloud technologies? I am working with my client to secure 2 talented individuals to join their team in Lincoln, UK, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, usability, and clarity of our software testing and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive and user-friendly software documentation, including user guides, technical manuals, and API documentation.

  • Collaborating closely with development teams to gather technical information and ensure accurate documentation of software features and functionalities.

  • Reviewing and editing existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Participating in software testing and quality assurance processes, including functional, integration, and regression testing.

  • Identifying and documenting software defects and issues and working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

  • Contributing to the development of automated testing scripts and frameworks.

  • Embracing Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to enhance software development and testing processes.

  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to software documentation, testing, and quality assurance.

    Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in creating clear, concise, and well-structured documentation.

  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.

  • Experience with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies and platforms.

  • Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the software development domain.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Prior experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages is a plus.

  • A passion for continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
