Client: Defence sector Programme: Naval Electronic Warfare (EW) Location: Bristol - Hybrid (3 days per week onsite average) Duration: 3-month initial contract IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Role details:

Our client is looking for highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineers to join a complex, multi-year programme within the defence sector. The role will support an Naval Electronic Warfare programme, contributing to the development and maintenance of high-performance systems.

This is an opportunity to work on challenging, mission-critical technology within a hybrid working environment, requiring a blend of onsite collaboration and remote delivery.

Responsibilities not limited to:

Develop and maintain front-end applications using React.
Build and optimise back-end services in C#.
Contribute to a microservices architecture utilising Docker and Kubernetes.
Design and manage complex databases (PostgreSQL).
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Ensure best practices in performance, scalability, and maintainability.

What we are looking for in you:

Proven track record as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
Strong experience with:
React (front end)
C# (back end)
Docker and Kubernetes (microservices environment)
PostgreSQL (complex databases)
Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid working model.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
A results-driven, high-performance mindset.

Additional Information:

Hybrid working: Expected to be onsite in Bristol 3 days per week on average.
Duration: Initial 3-month contract.
Outside IR35: This engagement has been determined to fall outside IR35 legislation.
