Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Remote, (Requirement to travel to Plymouth for Quarterly Planning)
Remuneration: Up to £600 per day
Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract (6 months)
Working Pattern: Full Time

Responsibilities:

Design and deploy scalable, high-performance software that aligns with our long-term goals.
Monitor, analyse, and enhance the performance of large-scale distributed software platforms for continuous uptime.
Develop automation solutions for configuration management and system provisioning, reducing manual interventions.
Implement and maintain security protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practises.
Lead the resolution of platform outages, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
Collaborate with QA engineering, DevOps, and IT operations to integrate solutions and troubleshoot issues.
analyse current system capacities and plan for future growth to handle increased loads.

Knowledge, Experience, and Technical Know-How:

Strong knowledge of AWS cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Proficient in scripting/programming languages in Python.
Understanding and proficiency in Developing APIs
Expertise in security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO27001, GDPR).
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and apply timely solutions.
Proficient with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address challenges creatively.
Experience in a software engineering role, focusing on managing and scaling systems in cloud or hybrid environments.
