Our client is a market-leading satellite communications company that provides services from satellite concept to deployment and operation. They are expanding rapidly at the moment and are looking to expand their testing team with the addition of a Senior System Test Engineer.

The successful candidate will join a growing team on the bleeding edge of satellite technology.

Responsibilities



Own and develop system-level test plans in collaboration with development and test teams.

*

Execute, plan and enhance system tests, contributing to overall product quality improvements.

*

Investigate root causes of test failures and drive corrective actions alongside engineering teams.

*

Validate chipset functionality and performance against defined system metrics.

*

Support and maintain test management tools, CI pipelines and automation frameworks.

*

Produce regular test execution reports, including clear metrics and status summaries.

Requirements

*

Degree in Electronic or Computer Science Engineering with experience testing telecommunication or satellite systems.

*

Proven background in system-level testing (including low-level/non-GUI environments), test planning and automation using languages such as C/C++ or Python.

*

Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, RF fundamentals, communications theory, and familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker) and defect tracking systems (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).

Desirable

*

Hands-on experience operating RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, VNAs and power meters.

*

Experience with automation test frameworks and test management software in complex hardware/software environments.

*

Self-motivated team player with the ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced, evolving engineering environments.
