We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with a strong background in Power Platform including Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate.

This will be working for a start up business based in Middlesbrough specialising in security services and products.

Salary - £60,000 - £70,000 - 1 day per week in the office - bonus scheme - 30 days holiday plus bank holidays + pension + private medical health.

This vital role will be the first senior software developer reporting directly to the CTO. You will need to be a self starter who can turn their hand to anything Microsoft suite related, Power Apps, Power BI, ASP.NET, C#, Azure etc

You will play a pivotal role in developing, and delivering robust automation solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 technologies.

The initial development emphasis will be on using Power Apps and Power BI to build new applications to support operational activities and data input, through to AI assisted generation of client dashboards and feedback channels.

As the company's product, and client list grows, it is envisaged that they will also need to develop Azure hosted ASP.NET based SaaS solutions to supplant or assist their Power Apps solutions.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) with complex forms and relational data
  • Experience with Microsoft's AI tools
  • Developing intuitive, user-focused interfaces and interactive dashboards
  • Proficiency in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework)
  • Experience in environments that follow DevOps principles
  • Experience with hosting applications on Azure
  • Ability to translate user requirements into technical solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    Desirable skills:

  • Experience with using Microsoft's AI tools to provide client feedback/recommendations based on big data analysis
  • Strong working knowledge of DevOps tools to streamline development and operations processes covering the full software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of data platforms such as Dataverse, SharePoint and SQL Server
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with D365

    Company Benefits:

    Discretionary (non contracted) bonus scheme.

    This role will have flexible working in terms of around 1 day per week in the office in Middlesbrough - You will only be considered if you are based in the north of England and can travel to the office when needed.

    Sponsorship will not be available for this role and you will need to have an independent right to work in the UK.
