A global leader in the insurance markets is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Administrator with a strong focus on cloud-based infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure. Experience with Palo Alto's extended security suite is also essential to be considered for this role.

It’s a fully remote role (with occasional team meet-ups/socials) in the London area and is paying up to £60,000 (depending on experience). The company offers fantastic benefits including 8% pension, 25 days holiday and private healthcare.

In this role you’ll:

Architect, deploy, and manage Azure-based network infrastructure, including VNets, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, NSGs, Load Balancers, Private Endpoints, VPN, and ExpressRoute.

Support and lead network migration and transformation initiatives, especially from on-prem to Azure cloud.

Configure, manage, and optimize Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including centralized management using Panorama and security extension through Prisma Access.

Deploy and administer GlobalProtect for secure remote access across endpoints and locations,

Knowledge and Experience Essential Experience

3+ years of hands-on experience in Palo Alto firewalls and application-layer security.  Cloud Networking: Advanced knowledge of cloud networking components and architecture. (Azure preferred)

Cloud Migration/Transition Projects: Demonstrated success in leading or supporting network transition efforts to Azure or hybrid environments.

Palo Alto Ecosystem: Deep experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Prisma Access, GlobalProtect, Cortex Data Lake, and DLP.

Application Layer Security: Proven experience configuring Layer 7 security and App-ID, ContentID, and User-ID policies.

WAF & Zero Trust Implementations: Hands-on with WAF deployments (CloudFIare or 3rd party) and Zero Trust frameworks.

GlobalProtect: Configuration and support of GlobalProtect VPN for secure, scalable remote workforce access.

Required Certifications:

Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)

Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent certification

Bonus: Azure Solutions Architect Expert an advantage

Experience with SAP Cloud systems and architecture would be an advantage
