Senior Cloud Engineer | Manchester | Hybrid | £80,000+

Are you a Senior Cloud Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, shaping cloud platforms, and improving how teams build and deliver software?

We're looking for an experienced engineer to play a key role in designing and delivering scalable cloud and Developer Experience solutions within a modern, engineering led environment. This is a hands on position offering real ownership across architecture, delivery and platform evolution.

You'll work alongside talented engineers to build resilient, secure and highly automated cloud systems, helping development teams move faster through better tooling, infrastructure and engineering practices.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading the design and delivery of cloud based solutions and platform capabilities

Owning significant technical components from concept through to production

Writing high quality, maintainable and testable code

Designing scalable, loosely coupled systems across multiple services

Driving best practice across performance, resilience, security and observability

Contributing to solution design and technical decision making

Supporting roadmap planning and identifying platform improvements

Championing automation, modern tooling and engineering standards

What We're Looking For

Strong hands on experience with AWS

Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code

CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions or similar tooling

Solid understanding of cloud architecture and platform engineering principles

Experience building and maintaining shared infrastructure or developer platforms

Strong testing mindset and experience writing testable code

Knowledge of Git and distributed version control

Exposure to cloud cost optimisation and FinOps practices
