We're hiring a Senior Backend Developer to join a high-growth telematics division building large-scale, customer-facing SaaS platforms.

This is not just another backend role.

You'll be working on a flagship platform powering connected vehicle technology, built across 70+ microservices on AWS. The long-term plan? Clear progression towards platform ownership.

What you'll be working with:

Node.js & TypeScript
AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB)
Docker & Terraform
CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
Postgres / MySQLThe role:

Design and build scalable backend systems
Own features from concept to deployment
Contribute to architecture decisions
Mentor and support engineers
Drive improvements in performance, reliability and scalabilityThis environment suits someone who:

Has strong commercial Node/TypeScript experience
Has worked in cloud-first AWS environments
Enjoys ownership and accountability
Can balance technical quality with pragmatic delivery
Wants to step into a future platform leadership roleHybrid working is 3 days per week onsite in Crewe. The office is modern and purpose-built with strong collaboration culture.
