Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Brentwood Borough Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Refuse Driver this role will be: CM13 3BH

  • 7:30am – 3:30pm

  • 37 hours per week

    The right candidate will:

  • To take charge and be responsible for the vehicle and the collection team, and to ensure the completion of the daily work allocated.

  • To undertake refuse, recycling or green waste collection as directed and other related waste service operations in accordance with the adopted schedules, procedures and policies.

  • To undertake the collection/emptying, loading and distribution of sacks, wheeled bins, or other containers as appropriate, from the curtilage (boundary) of the property or other agreed location.

  • To undertake the collection of bulky waste, clinical waste or other types of waste, as may be required.

  • To undertake the driver maintenance of the vehicle allocated, which will include daily roadworthy checks and the reporting of defects.

    We require the following:

  • Must be able to push wheeled bins and lift container/bulky items of household waste

  • Valid UK drivers licence
