PHP Developer – Doncaster (Hybrid Remote) - £45k

Ada Meher are proud to be partnered with an established development house on the outskirts of Doncaster as they look to recruit a new PHP Developer into one of their development squads to aid with their in-house project work. The company has a team of around 30 devs split into various squads working across a mix of BAU, new platform/feature development and also refactoring older systems to avoid technical debt. This role will be focused on their Fleet Management and Recovery systems. They are also doing some early stage R&D work in LLMs and AI.

This company operate on a hybrid remote basis and looking to balance collaboration with the project team in the office and the flexibility of remote work. As such, candidates should be a permanent resident, have the full right to work in the UK and be willing to commute to the Doncaster office 1-2 days a week.

They maintain a strong commitment to standards and quality of code, focusing on the latest PSR standards and SOLID principles. They also prioritise promoting staff within over hiring above people and offer a good learning and development opportunity, with licenses for popular learning platforms and accreditations available to all technical staff to help them progress through the ranks.

To be considered:

Strong experience in native PHP
Demonstrable experience with relevant MVC frameworks (Preferably Laravel)
Experience working to SOLID principles
Experience with Docker, Cloudflare, AWS or JavaScript/Vue would also be a benefit
Any knowledge of TDD is desirable but not essential
