Our client, a leading global organization, is partnering with a prestigious end client based in Farnborough. We’re excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a skilled OS Imaging Engineer with active UK Security Clearance (SC) to join a dynamic IT infrastructure team.

Job Title: OS Imaging Engineer – Active UK SC Clearance (mandatory).

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Gloucester Business Park, UK)
Contract Duration: 6 Months+
Day Rate: £370 Inside IR35

About the Role

You will play a critical role in leading the rollout and imaging of new Windows 10 versions and feature updates, leveraging WaaS (Windows as a Service) principles in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Windows 10 OS imaging and version/feature upgrades using WaaS methodologies.

  • Create, test, and remediate OS builds, Task Sequences, and Group Policies.

  • Automate in-place upgrades preserving apps, settings, and data during migrations.

  • Manage regular Microsoft Quality Updates and Windows 10 device auto-enrolment configurations.

  • Configure and administer enterprise applications and compliance policies.

  • Utilize SCCM (2012/2016 R2), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and Azure tools for packaging, deployment, and imaging.

  • Provide technical support and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate across multiple projects and teams, supporting Agile/DevOps workflows.

  • Participate in out-of-hours work and on-call rotation as required.

    Essential Skills & Experience

  • Active UK SC Clearance (mandatory).

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Windows 10 OS imaging and WaaS end-to-end management.

  • Proficient in SCCM, MDT, and Task Sequence creation/editing.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 rollouts, patch management, and Group Policy Object (GPO) administration.

  • Experience in in-place upgrades (IPU) and software compatibility testing.

  • Comfortable working hands-on during testing phases.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with strong communication skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
