Network Solutions Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Network Solutions Engineer to join a growing team in London, supporting presales, solution consultants, and sales teams across a wide range of solution designs. The focus will be on networks, SD-WAN, SASE, and cyber security, but the role also offers the chance to expand your expertise across other areas of IT solutions.

This is a highly collaborative position that bridges the gap between commercial and technical functions. From the early stages of the sales cycle, you'll act as a trusted advisor-helping to qualify opportunities, craft innovative solution designs, and ensure proposals are both technically robust and commercially compelling. You'll play a hands-on role in presenting solutions to customers, delivering product demonstrations, and remaining a key point of contact throughout the solution life cycle.

We're looking for someone who combines technical depth with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll bring a solid understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, Firewalls, IPSec, SIEM, wireless), alongside experience in at least two key solution areas such as networks, cloud, security, or unified communications.

Success in this role will also come from strong organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine curiosity to learn and grow. Familiarity with SD-WAN and SASE technologies, cloud architectures, and relevant certifications would be an advantage, but most importantly, we're seeking someone who is energetic, commercially aware, and eager to become a subject-matter expert.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional who thrives at the intersection of sales and engineering, and who wants to develop their career by working on innovative, business-critical projects.

This role is hybrid with 2 days a week in Office

Why Cloud Computing Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

For many years, cloud computing careers in the UK meant roles for infrastructure specialists, system administrators, network engineers & software developers. Today, the picture looks very different. Cloud has become the backbone of digital transformation across industries — from healthcare to finance, education to government. With that reach comes new expectations. Cloud isn’t just about servers & storage anymore. It’s about handling sensitive data responsibly, meeting regulatory obligations, designing intuitive user experiences, communicating clearly with diverse stakeholders & understanding how people actually interact with complex digital systems. This means cloud careers are increasingly multidisciplinary, requiring expertise in law, ethics, psychology, linguistics & design alongside technical skills. In this article, we’ll explore why cloud careers in the UK are broadening, how these five disciplines intersect with cloud work, what it means for job-seekers & employers, and how to future-proof your career in this fast-changing sector.
