NET Developer (C# 8, .NET, Azure / API Focus/ SQL/ NoSQL)

Due to continued success my National leading client are building a new development team. They are looking for multiple highly skilled Mid-Senior .NET Developer to join their rapidly growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an Agile environment, enjoys building API-first solutions from the ground up, and is passionate about leveraging Microsoft Azure to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing digital products.

The roles are offered on a hybrid basis, initially a few days a week in office, but this can reduce to once every two weeks in the Staffordshire Head Office

Key Responsibilities as the .NET Developer are:

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET C# 8+.
Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure Functions, App Services, API Management, and Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.
Contribute to the definition and evolution of engineering standards, governance, and architecture.
Mentor junior developers (if senior) and promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Ensure solutions are secure, observable, and performant, following best practices in software engineering.

Key Relationships

Internal: Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and Delivery teams.
External: Third-party engineering and integration partners.

What experience do you need for these roles:

Strong experience with .NET C# 8+ and modern backend development.
Proven track record of building APIs and microservices from scratch.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with event-driven architecture, observability tooling, and HA/DR design.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering culture and standards.
