Full-time, 40-Hours Per Week Minimum, Temporary to Permanent.

Hourly Pay Rate: £12.21 to £12.81 (Depending on Experience and Shift Pattern Worked).

Location: SO21

No Bus or Train Links Available – You will need a car, motorbike, scooter, or bicycle!

We are looking for a candidate who can be flexible, available to work any range of shifts in a food production environment. Covering for staff that are absent due to sickness / holiday / or to cover general increase in food production workloads. This role has come about due to an increase in workload production with night shifts starting as of April 2025. The company needs additional full-time staff who can fill in the gaps and support all the teams were required. Full training will be given, but you will need to have some experience of food handling, hygiene, safety standards and or transferable skills working production machines of some description. This role is highly physical, you will be on your feet, lifting and carrying up to 25KG, stacking items 2-meters high, walking up and down steps

Monday to Friday Shift Patterns You Will Cover:

  • Mornings: 6am to 2:15pm (Paid at £12.21 per hour).

  • Afternoons: 2pm to 10:15pm (Paid at £12.81 per hour minimum).

  • Nights: 10pm to 6:15am (Paid at an increased hourly rate)

    Additional Benefits:

  • Saturdays are classed as overtime.

  • Bank holidays worked replaced with time off in lieu.

    You will come into the business with any transferable skills in machine operations and or food production, having worked in a factory or food production environment.

    We will train and develop your career path to cover multiple production machines, processes, procedures, and knowledge, so that you become an integral part of the business’s success and future planning.

    Successful Candidates will complete an initial trial shift for the first week and then continuing as a temporary to permanent worker for 12-weeks, going permanent after that point and becoming a direct employee.

    Your initial 12-week working trial will build your basic knowledge and understanding of set-up / multiple production lines / breakdown and clean down . Once you are signed off you will receive a pay review, and continuous career training with rewards at every step.

    Duties:

  • Working on food production machines.

  • Following written instructions on daily work sheets.

  • Carrying, lifting, and handling products up to 25KG.

  • Movement of product around factory automation lines.

  • Quality checking and following precise instructions.

  • Working in a strict health and safety environment.

  • Ensuring all food production machines run efficiently and effectively.

  • Managing any production challenges, machine errors and daily production tasks.

  • Wearing all required PPE, adhering to all food safety standards.

    Essential Requirements:

  • Based outside of Winchester, free onsite parking, but due to the rural location and working hours, and lack of reliable public transport links, you will need a car, motorbike, scooter, or bike to get to and from work every day.

  • Either machine operator or machine operations or production line or food production transferable skills are required.

  • Able to communicate fluently in English both written and spoken, due to health and safety, worklist requirements, and process guidelines.

  • Physically fit and able to lift bags, containers, boxes up to 25KG, walk up and down stairs daily, reach up to 2-metres to stack containers.

  • Eligible to work full-time permanent in the UK.
