Location: London (Hybrid Working)

Join one of the most stable and globally respected financial institutions as a Director-level Lead C# Developer within the Front Office Fixed Income technology team. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of trading, architecture, and delivery-perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, business-facing environment and can lead end-to-end solutions from strategy to execution.

About the Role

As a senior member of the Fixed Income technology team, you will work closely with the Product Owner, trading desks, and development leads to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise in C#/.Net with leadership in design, architecture, and delivery.

You will represent the team across senior forums, partner with stakeholders globally, and ensure the technology stack remains cutting-edge, secure, and aligned with both business goals and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of software solutions supporting front-office Fixed Income trading
Represent IT in strategy, planning, and architecture discussions at senior levels
Provide technical leadership in C#, .Net Core, and SQL Server within a fast-moving Agile environment
Contribute to IT strategy for Fixed Income, including integrations with tools like ION Anvil, Neptune, and Mosaic Smart Data
Collaborate daily with traders and desk heads to translate complex requirements into working technology
Drive forward best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD and automated testing
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team environment

What We're Looking For

Expert C#/.Net Core developer with deep backend engineering experience
Extensive experience in Fixed Income (bonds, swaps, low-touch e-trading platforms)
Proven ability to work closely with Front Office and senior business stakeholders
Experience delivering enterprise-grade systems in high-pressure financial environments
Deep understanding of trading workflows, market risks, and regulatory context
Skilled in Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and architecture best practices
Strong communicator, able to lead both technically and strategically
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
