Head of IT - Wholesale Projects

A leading retail and wholesale organisation with a strong presence across Ireland is seeking a Head of IT - Wholesale Projects to lead the next phase of its digital transformation. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic IT leader to join a values-driven business that supports thousands of retail and foodservice operations across the island.
The OpportunityThe successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of wholesale operations across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to define and deliver a robust IT strategy that enhances customer experience, drives operational efficiency, and supports long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership:
Collaborate with wholesale and retail teams to identify technology needs and opportunities, including in-store innovations.
Technology Leadership:
Define and implement IT strategies that align with business goals and enhance the wholesale customer journey.
Project Delivery:
Lead the successful delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and aligned with business priorities.
Innovation & Improvement:
Identify and implement scalable technology solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, influencing and aligning teams around shared goals.
Resource Management:
Oversee budgets and resources to ensure sustainable and cost-effective technology investments.
Emerging Tech:
Evaluate and adopt new technologies that support long-term business objectives.Essential Criteria

10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a strong track record of delivering impactful technology projects.
Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing cross-functional and hybrid teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience working in hybrid environments and managing change effectively.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess architecture and identify risks.Desirable Criteria

Experience in retail or wholesale environments.
Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, or Kanban.
