Infrastructure Manager / Technical Lead – Hybrid – Reading

Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site near Reading, Berkshire)

Are you an experienced Infrastructure professional ready to step into a hands-on leadership role? Our fast-growing technology-driven company near Reading is seeking an Infrastructure Manager / Technical Lead to take ownership of our core IT systems, drive improvement, and lead a small team in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid and hands-on leadership position where you'll play a critical role in supporting, managing, and evolving our infrastructure landscape. You'll combine deep technical expertise with strategic insight to ensure robust, secure, and scalable IT services.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and mentor a small team of infrastructure engineers

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues (network, server, hosting)

*

Analyse infrastructure performance and produce client-facing SLA reports

*

Drive improvements in system architecture and operational processes

*

Recommend future infrastructure strategies to support business growth

Technical Requirements:

We're looking for a solid technical leader with expertise in:

*

Microsoft Windows Server environments

*

CISCO networking – firewalls, switches, routers

*

TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN – strong networking fundamentals

*

Web hosting & Microsoft IIS

*

Linux systems & Docker containers

*

Good knowledge of data centre operations is a strong plus

Location:
