Class 1 driver, Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1 Container drivers Days/Nights/Weekends – Temporary Contract – Portsmouth – £17 up to £25phr - Immediate Start.

Package Overview - Class 1 driver, Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1 Container drivers:

  • Rate of Pay: £17.00 up to £28phr / £23/£30 a night out.

  • Immediate Start Available

  • Temporary Contract

  • Must have had your HGV1 licence 2 years!

  • Must have Container experience (DP WORLD CARD NEEDED)

  • Contract Length: 12 weeks / ongoing / ad-hoc

  • Hours of Work: Days: 4am/6am starts Nights: 4pm/9pm starts

  • Availability Required: Monday – Friday / Ad-Hoc Basis/ Weekends

  • Location: Portsmouth

We are on the lookout for a Class 1 driver, Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1 Container drivers to join our team, to work on behalf of our client based in Portsmouth.

    This is an exciting time to join us and the right candidate will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and personable with the drive to hit the floor running.

    Role and Responsibilities - Class 1 driver, Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1 Container drivers:

  • Driving HGV1 articulated container automatic gearshift lorries;

  • Keeping all paperwork and electronic records updated

  • Using internet connected smartphone devices to complete drops and collections;

  • Adhering to DP World London Gateway procedures while inside Port areas;

  • Maintaining an accurate record of break times according to WTD regulations;

  • Adhering to both agencies and client’s regulations and procedures;

    Skills and Experience - Class 1 driver, Cat C+E, HGV1, LGV1 Container drivers:

  • Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

  • Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)

  • Must hold a Digital Tachograph card

  • Must not have more than 6 points on the licence

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience of HGV1 CONTAINER driving

  • Must have experience in Containers

  • Must be able to use electronic devices (EPODs/smartphones/instruction screens)

  • Must have a good English level (speaking, writing, understanding)

  • Must have a good working knowledge of UK motorway road network and WTD regulations.
