HGV Driver/ Class 1 – With the recent expansion and purchase of our new fleet we are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join our road haulage partner Baker Transport, working from Felixstowe, Suffolk.

    About the role:
    As our HGV Driver you will play a vital part of our Baker Transport logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods to our designated clients. Your expertise will ensure that deliveries are compliant with both company and legal standards, making you an essential player in our mission to deliver top-notch service. You will enjoy a working environment where every day brings new challenges, opportunities to excel and being treated as a valued member of the Cory team and provide a service to our clients. Shifts may be up to 12 hours per day (Monday – Friday) with the option to do additional overtime at weekends and Bank Holidays.
    Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Safely deliver goods, planning efficient routes and adhering to delivery schedules.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring roadworthiness and cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and tachograph records, while complying with UK and EU driving regulations.
  • Act as the face of the company when delivering containers.
    About you:
    You are a dedicated and professional HGV Driver with a valid HGV Licence (Categories C or C+E) and a current CPC qualification card and up-to-date digital tachograph card. For insurance purposes you must be at least 25 years old and have a minimum of 2 years' HGV driving experience. With a solid background in logistics or transport, you have honed your driving skills and boast an excellent safety record. Your familiarity with UK road networks will enable you to plan routes effectively, while your attention to detail ensures all necessary documentation is completed accurately. You will be ready to tackle any unexpected challenges with a positive attitude.
