HGV Class 1 Driver – Days

Location: London Gateway
Rate: £18.00 per hour + + Competitive overtime rates
Shift: 7:00am start, approx. 10-hour shifts
Induction: 2-day paid induction
Job Type: Container transport

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for day shifts at a busy container transport operation based in London Gateway. This is a great opportunity for drivers seeking regular work with competitive pay.

What’s on offer:

£18.00 per hour, paid weekly

7:00am starts, 10-hour shifts

Monday to Friday schedule

Container transport

2-day paid induction provided

Duties include:

Transporting shipping containers

Coupling and decoupling trailers safely and correctly

Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and reporting defects

Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations

Accurate completion of paperwork and use of on-board systems

Communicating effectively with the transport office

Adhering to all driver hours and WTD regulations

Requirements:

Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

Up-to-date CPC and Tacho card

Experience in container work preferred

ADR licence advantageous but not essential

Good knowledge of driver regulations
