HGV 1 Driver/Port Shunter - Days

TLP are URGENTLY hiring HGV 1 Port Driver/Shunters to join our customer's operation based in Felixstowe, working 12 hour shifts, Monday to Friday. We have day or night working available. This is an amazing opportunity for candidates seeking regular work with the benefit of working with Britain’s largest port.

  • Day hours (Apply online only) - £17.00 Per Hour (PAYE)

  • Plus holiday pay!

  • x2 Paid 45 minute breaks!

  • Access to on site driver break rooms and on-site canteens

    Job Role:

  • Operating in an HGV 1 Cab with a 40ft port trailer (no coupling or uncoupling involved)

  • Shunting containers throughout the port and supporting the rail terminals

  • Communicating with colleagues and supervisors via a radio system

  • Follow all health and safety procedures

    Benefits:

  • Two x 45-minute paid breaks

  • Induction and training provided

  • No weekend work

  • PPE Provided

  • Driver break room and access to on-site canteens

    Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid HGV 1 Licence

  • Must be able to effectively communicate via a radio system

  • Punctual, reliable & trustworthy

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comply with the strict Drug & Alcohol testing requirements
