Who Are Weston Transport;

Weston Transport began its journey in Glasgow in the year 1997 with just 3 vehicles. Over the years the fleet grew steadily to cover the whole of Scotland.

With an established reputation for quality equipment and reliable expertise, Weston expanded its operations to more effectively cover the UK. Our Hiab's range from 45 tonnes to 85 ton per metre. We have a wide range of vehicles and equipment which are all strictly serviced and inspected to meet the health and safety legislation.

All our drivers/Operators are fully ALLMI qualified and trained to the highest standard. All staff keep up-to date with all compliance and legal requirements. Within our team we have four highly trained planners, a strong central administration group, a FORS Practitioner with Health & Safety NEBOSH and an inhouse ALMMI trainer.

We have a FORS Bronze Accreditation.

We currently have an opportunity for 2 experienced Hiab operators to join our growing Hiab fleet. Weston Transport is a well established transport business working along side the UKs leading cabin and modular companies.

Job Details

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading and installation of various materials ranging from shipping containers to modular building, we also move several other items such as signs & statues. As a team player you will be working face to face with customers and along with other colleagues. you will need to demonstrate excellent operational skills, such as working in challenging environments, with health and safety and our customers at the forefront of everything you do.

Qualifications required

Full UK HGV Class 1 or 2 driving licence.
Hiab experience.
Current CPCS /ALLMI Card.
Driver CPC.
Daily Duties
Loading & unloading of equipment.
Maintaining security of load when loading, in transit and unloading.
Leasing and working with customers onsite in a professional manner.
Carry our daily checks on vehicle & equipment, report any defects or issues to the transport office.
Comply with legislations regarding vehicle safety, tachograph operation and working time.
Report any issues or delays onsite to the transport office at the first available instance.
This is a Monday to Friday job with weekend work being overtime.
Full Uniform and PPE will be provided and must be worn.
Holiday entitlement is 28 days inclusive of bank holidays.Benefits
