We are a fast-growing business in the digital consumer ecommerce sector, listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and we are always looking for innovative and committed people to join our expanding team.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Full Stack Developer with a strong PHP background to join our dynamic development team. You will be working on a variety of projects, contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of web applications and APIs. This is an exciting opportunity to develop robust, scalable solutions in a collaborative, Agile-driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
Build and maintain applications following MVC architecture principles
Collaborate with other developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Write clean, efficient, and secure code following best practices
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
Utilise version control tools such as Git to manage and track changes
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
Engage in team and department ceremonies, including planning and retrospectives
Maintain clear technical documentationSKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Strong PHP development skills
Proficient in MySQL database design and queries
Solid understanding of MVC frameworks (e.g., Laminas, Symfony, Laravel)
Competent in using Composer for PHP dependency management
Skilled in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and Bootstrap
Good understanding of front-end concepts, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
Experience using Git for version control
Ability to write secure, maintainable, and efficient code
Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

Experience with C# or .NET
Familiarity with AWS services
Experience working with Jira and Confluence
GitHub workflows and pull request management
Experience of React
Secure programming techniques and awareness of OWASP best practices
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesQUALIFICATIONS:

Ideally hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 2-4 years' commercial development experience in a full-stack or back-end PHP role
Evidence of working on production-grade systems, preferably in an eCommerce environment
Demonstrated experience of working in Agile/Scrum environments
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
