We are seeking an experienced Fidessa Developer to join a leading global investment bank’s Technology team. You will play a key role in designing, developing and enhancing front-office trading platforms, ensuring low-latency, high-reliability execution services for equities and listed derivatives.

This is a high-impact, business-facing role, working closely with traders, quants and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support Fidessa trading platform integrations and customisations for cash equities and listed derivatives.

  • Work with front-office stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.

  • Implement new order routing, risk checks, and execution logic, ensuring low latency and high reliability.

  • Maintain and enhance connectivity to exchanges, MTFs and market data feeds.

  • Manage deployments, releases, and post-implementation support of Fidessa components.

  • Provide second-line support for production issues and participate in an on-call rota if required.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, DevOps and QA.

    Key Requirements

  • Strong experience (5+ years) working with Fidessa systems (AMS, OMAR, FTW or related components).

  • In-depth understanding of equities trading workflows (order management, market connectivity, execution).

  • Excellent skills in Java, C++, or .NET (at least one), plus scripting (Python/Perl) for automation.

  • Solid grasp of FIX protocol, exchange rules, and low-latency trading concepts.

  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, shell scripting, and SQL databases.

  • Proven ability to work directly with business users (traders, sales, quants) to deliver solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience in agile delivery environments a plus.
