Electronics Engineer | Newport | £35-55k | Hybrid

My client is a high-impact, established aerospace company designing satellite platforms, operating in a market niche. Their platforms operate in some of the most challenging flight conditions, and they build almost everything in-house.

They’re looking to add an electronics engineer to their electronics and embedded systems team. You'll be hands-on and design-focused to own the specification, design, and integration of electronics into flight and ground systems.

Responsibilities as an Electronics Engineer:

You’ll work closely with the Electronics Lead and a multidisciplinary team to develop avionics and flight systems.

Your day-to-day will span:

  • Defining system-level requirements and translating them into PCB-level specifications

  • Designing, capturing and laying out analog/digital circuits (Altium preferred)

  • Developing hardware to integrate GNSS, IMUs, temperature sensors, telemetry systems

  • Supporting testing and validation of systems

  • Collaborating across teams to iterate on control, communication and payload systems

    Required skills:

  • BSc in Electronics Engineering (or related)

  • 3+ years in electronics hardware/embedded development

  • Strong experience in circuit design (analog/digital), schematic capture, PCB layout

  • Familiarity with version control (Git), FMEA/risk analysis, and system-level thinking

  • Experience integrating sensors and embedded systems

  • Confident working across small teams and managing multiple interfaces

    Desirable skills:

  • Experience designing electronics for regulated sectors (space, aerospace, medical, etc.)

  • Altium Designer

  • Background in flight control systems, actuator control, or telemetry design
