Customs Import and Export Administrator– Join P&O Ferrymasters dedicated Customs team in our office in Dover, Kent on a full-time permanent basis.

Your role:

As our Import/ Export Administrator you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our international clients. You’ll manage customs declarations and help ensure the smooth and compliant movement of goods across borders.

Key responsibilities:

Preparing customs entries for Road & Ocean Imports & Exports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Ensure timely processing of customs declarations and promptly address any queries from clients.
Record and review customs declaration requests, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in our systems.
Keep track of duties paid by P&O Ferrymasters, ensuring recovery from clients where necessary.
Liaise effectively with clients to understand and fulfil their customs declaration needs.
Share critical information with carriers to guarantee seamless delivery and avoid delays.
Collaborate with the Customs Declarations Manager to achieve team objectives and maintain service excellence.

About you:

We are on the lookout for an experienced Customs Import and Export Administrator with a solid understanding of customs declaration processes. Experience with systems such as CDS, Destin8, CNS and IPAFFS is highly valued. You’ll be detail-oriented, highly organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential, with the ability to prioritise tasks. Flexibility to work shifts and some bank holidays. Speaking an additional language is a plus!

We offer:

A salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience), working full-time, Monday to Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift.  Shifts run from 0700hrs to 1500hrs and 0900hrs to 1700hrs.
