Job Summary:

As a Clamp Counterbalance Warehouse Operative, you will play a critical role in the seamless flow of our warehouse operations, particularly involving the handling of high-value white goods like refrigerators. This position requires a precise and safety-conscious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently. This role will be covering their busy period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective Handling and Management of White Goods: Utilise clamp forklifts to safely transport large items such as fridges, ensuring that products are handled without damage and are correctly secured.

  • Order Picking and Processing: Accurately pick items for e-commerce orders and other dispatch needs, adhering to specific procedures and timelines to boost customer satisfaction.

  • Loading and Tipping Containers: Efficiently load and unload goods from containers, using appropriate machinery and manual handling techniques where necessary. Play a pivotal role in ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments meet the required standards.

  • Stock Organization and Warehouse Maintenance: Execute tasks related to stocking and storing goods within the warehouse, maintaining an organised and efficient system for easy access and stock management.

  • Upholding Safety and Hygiene Standards: Maintain rigorous health and safety standards in all areas of operation. Ensure that all working areas are clean and comply with hygiene regulations to provide a safe working environment for all staff.

  • Labelling and Documentation: Apply appropriate labels on goods and handle related documentation accurately to ensure traceability and compliance with company and regulatory policies.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Valid certification to operate a clamp counterbalance forklift, not in house.

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent physical fitness, capable of heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.

  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.

    Hours of Work:

  • Tuesday to Saturday Rotational Shifts

  • 06:00-14:00 one week, 14:00-22:00 the following week
