Multi-cloud focused

Regulated Financial Environment

Hybrid working

An innovative and well-established financial services organisation is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to help shape the future of their cloud security function.

This is more than a technical role — it’s an opportunity to make a real impact across a multi-cloud, high-transaction environment where compliance, trust, and communication are critical. You’ll work across Azure, GCP, and OCI, with legacy AWS components being transitioned to Azure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Assist on cloud security architecture, primarily across Azure, with some GCP and OCI.

Partner with IT and the business to assess and secure key cloud applications and infrastructure.

Assist in migrating and securing legacy applications into a newly structured cloud tenancy.

Ensure alignment with compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and DORA (training provided if needed).

Contribute to automation and toolchain improvements using Terraform, Ansible, and multi-cloud security tools like Wiz.

Collaborate with an outsourced SOC and participate in an on-call rota (1 in 6 weeks).

What They’re Looking For:

Proven experience with Azure cloud security services; GCP or OCI knowledge is a bonus.

Solid background in infrastructure or systems engineering.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Someone who is honest, grounded, and focused on delivering practical, effective solutions.

You’ll Stand Out If You Have:

Exposure to or interest in PCI-DSS or other financial compliance standards.

Experience with Wiz or similar cloud security platforms.

Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python) and a security-first approach to automation.

Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or other cloud security credentials (supported by the company).

What’s in it for You?

€75K base + 8–10% bonus + full healthcare

Hybrid working – Work remotely, with funded travel and accommodation for occasional on-site days

Exposure to a complex, multi-cloud landscape in a heavily regulated, high-volume environment.

Support for certifications, courses, and even master’s programs.

A chance to be part of a growing team with a clear mandate to modernise and secure cloud environments.

If you’re a cloud security expert with strong communication skills and a passion for doing things the right way — let’s talk.

Veterans in Cloud Computing: A Military‑to‑Civilian Pathway into Cloud Careers

Introduction The United Kingdom’s public‑cloud market will exceed £45 billion by 2026 (Gartner forecast), fuelled by government digital‑service mandates, fintech scale‑ups, and the MOD’s own Cloud Strategic Roadmap 2025. From hybrid defence networks to NHS electronic health records, almost every mission‑critical workload is moving to AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). That explosive demand collides with a nationwide skills shortage—over 135,000 unfilled cloud roles in 2024, according to TechUK. Veterans already possess the security clearances, network know‑how, and operational discipline that cloud employers crave. This guide shows you how to translate your military experience into cloud‑native language, leverage Ministry of Defence (MoD) transition funding, and secure a rewarding second career (with salaries starting at £40k and rising above £100k for cleared DevSecOps leads).
